This year the Bideawee Ball was held at the luxurious Gotham Hall, formerly a bank that was built in 1922 and turned into a event venue in 2000. The location features a jaw dropping view of a stained glass skylight not unlike the grand skylights seen in old world European architecture crafted by only the best artisans. A magnificent brass and crystal chandelier hung just above the tables shedding a glow of light while red up lighting adorned the vaulted ceilings and balconies. it was like a scene from a famous opera.
The non-profit Bideawee, founded in 1903 has been cultivating and supporting the life-long relationships between pets and the people that love them for more than 100 years. This year they celebrate Bideawee’s 100th year at their headquarters at East 38th Street in New York City. As one of the country’s oldest and most respected animal welfare and pet adoption organizations, Bideawee provides an array of high touch services including adoption centers, animal hospitals, pet therapy programs, and pet memorial parks that serve pets and pet lovers on their lifelong journey together.
Shortly after 6 PM, New York’s elite social class/animal lovers along with their well groomed canine companions, some dressed to the nines converged to the lobby where a crew of photographers from various publications were waiting to photograph them at their best.
Once done, the guests were escorted into the elegantly decorated hall which was ever so inviting with warm ambiance that made for a lovely dining experience followed by an awards ceremony.
