October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. As a woman I feel the strong connection to help support woman’s causes and bring awareness to health issues that touch us so strongly. Health issues that early detection can help save a life. There are several organizations so close to my heart that I feel that I need to share and bring awareness to. One of them of course is Breast Cancer Awareness. Think Pink and the symbolism of pink has been associated for supporting and bringing awareness to Breast Cancer. Here at Mina D Jewelry, there has been a Pink Ribbon bracelet created and all through the year it can be purchased on our website with 15% being donated to Breast Cancer Research Foundation. http://bcrfcure.org
For the month of October purchase anything PINK on our site – receive a discount of -20% and 15% will be donated to BCRF. Feel good shopping and show your support with PINK.

NYC Fashion week began with a fantastic exhibit by renowed international photographer Vital Abigalow. On the terrace of Aureole NYC on a breezy September night I attended the beautiful exhibit.
The framed photos lined the walls of patio, famous faces as captured by Vital were admired by the guests as they sipped cocktails and nibbled snacks by chef Charlie Palmer. The photos were quite remarkable, and his use of lighting is fantastic. The photos kept you mesmerized as they were works of art and not your typical celebrity photos.
I had a nice conversation with Vital and we briefly spoke about our mutual friends and his last cover shoot for Social Magazine. I attended the event with Amelia Meloni my publicist and founder of Vintage NYC Magazine.
Fashion New Live’s Rocco Leo Gagliot interviewed Vital. Also in attendance were ABT prima ballerina Irina Dvorovenko, Singer Concuelo Vanderbilt Costin, Transporter-3 lead actress Natalya Rudakova.
Vital is an international photographer who has worked with many of the leading fashion brands, celebrity supermodels and iconic influencers of the fashion industry. He is most widely known as the face of Hensel USA, the leader in the field of studio lighting, who launched him to an international platform after discovering him in 2008. Since then, he has incessantly gained notoriety in the realms of both professional and fashion photography with unmistakable forward momentum. Agibalow spent several years working abroad as a photojournalist in Germany, Holland, Switzerland and France, but has taken the fashion industry by storm through his portrait work of the iconic Anna Wintour (editor in chief of American VOGUE), Karl Lagerfeld (head designer and creative director for the fashion house CHANEL).
It was beautiful event and a great beginning for the ever hectic NYFW.
Vintage NYC Magazine held a Modern Gatsby celebration on Sept 6th at BoConcept in NYC. The event was hosted by the gorgeous Zuri McDaniels the wife of Darryl McDaniels (RUN DMC). Ladies and Gents donned their best Gatsby attire for this festive event.
Mina Deutsch designer of Mina D Jewelry along with Zuri McDaniels, and founder Amelia Meloni of Vintage NYC Magazine wore Mina D Jewelry creations – Gatsby inspired looks.
