Why I Wear Teal Every September

Teal isn't just a pretty color. 🩵

Every September, I wear teal and share my teal awareness jewelry and bracelets to help bring attention to an important cause.

For me, it's become an annual tradition, using something I love, jewelry, to help create awareness and start conversations.

Because sometimes a little color can carry a much bigger message. 🩵✨

If you see me wearing teal this month, now you know why.

What the teal ribbon stands for

Teal is the color of ovarian cancer awareness, and September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. It's a cause that doesn't always get the spotlight, partly because the early signs can be so easy to brush off as everyday discomfort, which is why talking about it matters so much.

Wearing teal is a small, visible way to keep the conversation going: to remind the people around us to pay attention to their bodies, to speak up with their doctors, and to check in on the women in their lives. If you want to learn more or support the cause directly, the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is a wonderful place to start.

The piece that started it

The Ovarian Cancer Awareness Bracelet is the one I reach for all month long. It's easy to wear every day, and it's usually what someone notices first, which is exactly the point.
