As a native New Yorker on my way to work that morning… I remember it so vividly …
it started as a typical morning .....and then the breaking news on TV.
No we didn’t have cell phone alerts in those years.
The shock and fear throughout our city was unimaginable. Seeing army tanks rolling down fifth Avenue and national guard around the city with machine guns became a normal vision.
And in all the turmoil both here in New York andat the capitol, the unity of America we came together.
Sending love and prayers to all the families who lost their loved ones that day.
Thank you to the rescue and recovery workers, the military, NYPD who worked tirelessly throughout and beyond.
