Hi, and welcome to Mina D Jewelry

This is the story of how Mina D Jewelry began.....

I began my path in jewelry at the age of 18, in NYC's Diamond Industry. My career in jewelry started with me working for a wholesale high end diamond firm.  Even in the first years in the Diamond Industry, I was fortunate to be introduced and learn from Industry leaders from the prestigious Diamond houses. 

I was honored to work alongside and meet industry leaders and founders in New York, like the talented teams at Harry Winston, Cartier, Sotheby's. And in the Far east with many prestigious companies, in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia. In Europe with Cartier, Boucheron and many others. I not only traveled overseas, but was a constant in the office watching the clock with the many time zones.

I learnt so much from celebrity designer Lorraine Schwartz a dear friend and mentor who encouraged me and complimented me on my designs. It helped that we also shared office space for many years.

I started designing diamond jewelry for friends and family and redesigning family heirlooms.

I began designing jewelry for myself to wear to work. Jewelry I could not find in any stores that was high end authentic gemstone jewelry, and I could work it into my work wardrobe which consisted of my favorites from Escada, St John, Max Mara, Tod's, Chanel, Gucci and Louis Feraud'.  The buzz and demand for my colorful gemstones grew and Mina D Jewelry was established in 2010. 

In 2010 I worked with semi-precious gemstones and pearls and began Mina D Jewelry with that type of design, to be non-conflictual with my employment at Olympic Diamond, a wholesale diamond firm. I always loved jewelry and fashion and had a passion to design jewelry as early as my childhood, when I would put together jewelry for my dolls from any scraps I could find. 

As a grew into my role at the Diamond Firm of Finance Director I gained crucial knowledge and insights on all business aspects of the Diamond Industry.

In 2020 as covid changed the world and many of our careers, my career took a turn and after 30 Years with the same firm, I found myself on my own. At this point when I was no longer working for another diamond firm. I could ethically pursue my Diamond Jewelry career to the public. Thus began the Mina D Fine Jewelry path. My passion for Diamond Jewelry took center stage and now I can bring you, the public gorgeous diamond jewelry with my knowledge and expertise. With my dedication to my career and my clients.
