The fight against Diabetes is very personal to me, my maternal grandmother fought diabetes for over 30 yrs. I had to learn how to administer insulin and check her blood sugar as well. I was only a ten year old child at her diagnosis and I was terrified and devasted, not knowing what the future will bring.

September 14th it was a beautiful end of summer season night. It was the perfect weather for attending a womens networking event by Driven Women Jersey Shore in Red Bank at Centrada a local hot spot that to stand out by providing the vibrancy of Tulum, the style of Cuba and the intimacy of Barcelona dining to Red Bank.

It was great meeting like minded women, fellow entrepreneurs and having great conversations. It was an enjoyable night with great food, drinks, photos and giveaways. I was wearing my Mina D Jewelry Iolite & Pearl necklace and received many compliments.

November is a special month and has many topics that are brought to attention and focus, one of them being Diabetes Awareness. As Diabetes runs in my family and my grandmother Jeni suffered for many years with this debiliating illness, I want to use my voice my paltform to share, educate and bring awareness to help fight for a cure.
