Kung Hei Fat Choy for all my friends, followers and clients celebrating chinese new year. My past work as finance director for a diamond company has taken me to the far east on several occasions throughout the past years. Here is a look back at some of my Hong Kong and Singapore Travel. 

My jewelry career began in the diamond district at the young age of 18, as a young adult I got to see the most beautiful diamonds and work with the leaders and founders of the industry. As the years went on I was fortunate to grow with the company and earn the respect of my colleagues and peers and get promoted to Finance Director. My experience in the industry is what moved me to began my own design journey and establish Mina D Jewelry in 2010.

My travel both for work and pleasure continues to inspire my designs even after I have visited places. And exploring new cities and culture of people is always fascinating.

Thursdays are known for taking a look back, otherwise known as throwbacks. 

Here is a look back at the behind the scenes of our photo shoot for Metropolitan Magazine with Cover Jill Dobson of Associated Press.

We did the shoot on a cold March day  in Jills residence in NYC. 

Makeup artist gorgeous Virginia Alima, hairstylist Ricky and photographer extraordinaire Benno Klandt.

Her home was set up as a studio with all the proper equipment and the jewelry and fashion of course.

We brought several beautiful pieces to choose from. We had coordinated and worked together with photos and communication prior to the shoot as to what dresses Jill would be wearing in the shoot.

The name Mina in German translates into meaning love. 

What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day then with the meaning of Love.
