The fight against Diabetes is very personal to me, my maternal grandmother fought diabetes for over 30 yrs. I had to learn how to administer insulin and check her blood sugar as well. September 14th it was a beautiful end of summer season night. It was the perfect weather for attending a womens networking event by Driven Women Jersey Shore in Red Bank at Centrada a local hot spot that to stand out by providing the vibrancy of Tulum, the style of Cuba and the intimacy of Barcelona dining to Red Bank.
It was great meeting like minded women, fellow entrepreneurs and having great conversations. It was an enjoyable night with great food, drinks, photos and giveaways. I was wearing my Mina D Jewelry Iolite & Pearl necklace and received many compliments.

Take time to breathe

As children we were given "time outs" whether we were misbehaving or were over hyper or as young children in school we got "breaks" we got lunch times outdoors or in the cafeteria.
As adults we get so busy we forget those fundamentals, skipping lunch, taking lunch at our desks etc
One of the things the pandemic taught me, was to take to breathe, take a break, take a few minutes to stop and appreciate. And if you can take a short trip to a park once a week, take a short scenic drive. The mental boosts these little breaks give me are amazing. Unfortunately my mind never stops working even on these breaks, but its still helpful.
